Traditional wool fibers shrink, warp, and change texture when exposed to the temperatures, saturation, and surfactants of laundering, leading to sad times. Hybrid wool is engineered to skip the dry cleaner, and hold up to the machine washing process with a fortified matrix of helper fibers woven into the fabric to maintain function and appearance.

For best results with Hybrid wool:

• Wash on your machine’s cold cycle
• Avoid enzyme-based or “bio” detergents, and never use bleach
• Dry flat (never tumble dry)
• Ironing, if desired, should be done on the low setting

Half-canvassed means the blazer includes a supportive layer of sewn interlining through the chest and lapels, rather than using a fusing technique in these areas, which involves an adhesive to bond fabrics.

Before you head out the door into the great unknown, here's a few things to check:

• The shoulders: The shoulder seam of the blazer should be positioned right where your arm meets your shoulder, allowing the sleeve to drop in a straight line, without creases or bulging. Too small, and the shoulder pads won't create a crisp line up top. Too long, and the sleeve will bow in.
• The back: The rear of your suit should fit close to your back, but not be pulling or wrinkling. This means it's too small. Alternatively, a billowy or loose-fitting back means you've gone too large. 
• The sleeves: These should hit right at your wrist bone and show a peek of your shirt cuff. You didn't put all that work into coordinating to hide it, right?
• Closure: look for the top button to hit around your belly button. When buttoned, you should have room for a fist between the inside of the blazer and your shirt. This provides enough slack to avoid the dreaded "X" from a too-tight fit, but still allows a gentle level of contouring in the midsection.
• Length: With your hands at your side, look for your blazer hem to land around your knuckles, or a little bit higher, depending on personal preference.
